This is the the professional website of Erinn Batykefer.  I'm a writer and a librarian.  It's pretty rad.

I earned my Master of Fine Arts in writing from the Creative Writing Department and my Master of Library Science from the School of Library and Information Studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. I've used my skills in a variety of work-- as an editor, a librarian, an arts administrator, an outreach coordinator, a programming coordinator, a communications coordinator (lots of coordinating)-- all with the goal of connecting people and supporting and enriching their lives through lifelong learning.

Here you'll find links to my books, original articles I've written, showcases for my creative work as a writer and my work as a librarian, and other neat stuff.

If you're interested in getting in touch with me about professional opportunities in your library, non-profit/arts organization, or writing program, head over to the Contact page for more information.

You're also welcome to connect with me elsewhere on the web:

I served as co-founder & editor of the Library as Incubator Project and its sister site, The Book to Art Club, along with fellow librarian Laura Damon-Moore from 2010-2017.  Though we sunset the Library as Incubator Project website as an active hub for our work, it remains as an archive while we work on some new projects, including a new book. The Book to Art Club remains active!

At the Library as Incubator Project, we believe the library is a place to connect and create, and we advocate for libraries as important incubators for creativity and the arts.

Keep an eye out for upcoming projects, and find all of our past and ongoing work here:

Both Laura and I were also named Library Journal Movers & Shakers for our work at the Library as Incubator Project. Check out our profile, and read more about all the incredible librarians in our M&S class here.
